Introduction:

Although hydrogen is commonly associated with rocket fuel, its applications extend beyond space exploration. This blog will discuss the diverse and promising uses of hydrogen in various industries.

1.Generation of Clean Energy:

One of the most significant applications of hydrogen lies in its potential as a clean energy carrier. Through a process called electrolysis, hydrogen can be produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable energy sources such as wind or solar energy. The resulting hydrogen can be stored and used as a clean fuel for various applications, offering an environmentally-friendly alternative to fossil fuels.

2. Fuel Cells for Transportation:

Hydrogen fuel cells are gaining traction as a promising solution for zero-emission transportation. Vehicles equipped with hydrogen fuel cells generate electricity through the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, producing water vapor as the only byproduct. This technology is particularly relevant for heavy-duty vehicles, such as buses and trucks, which offer a sustainable alternative to conventional fossil fuel-powered transport. Moreover,using hydrogen in internal combustion engine directly i.e. hydrogen car is being devploped by many car manufacturers.
